Friendket Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1/24/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Friendket (“Friendket,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, app, and related services (the “Services”).
1) Who we are and how to contact us
Company: Friendket, operated by TARS Technologies LLC
Contact: support@friendket.com or message in app support
2) Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways: (a) you give it to us, (b) we collect it automatically when you use the Services, and (c) we receive some information from service providers.
A. Information you provide
- Account and profile: name, username, email, phone number, date of birth (if collected), profile photo, bio, preferences, availability, and listing details (for Friends).
- Identity and safety verification (if used): government ID images, selfie/liveness checks, verification status, and related metadata (for fraud and safety, does not include background check).
- Booking and communications: booking requests, booking details, messages between Members and Friends, support tickets, and reports.
- Payments: payment method details and billing information (typically handled by a payment processor), plus transaction amounts, payouts, refunds, and chargeback information.
B. Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, device identifiers, browser/app version, pages/screens viewed, timestamps, clicks, and error logs.
- Approximate location: derived from IP address; precise location only if you enable device location permissions (if offered).
- Cookies and similar technologies: used for login, security, preferences, analytics, and measuring performance (details in Section 8).
- Session verification signals (if enabled/used): time stamps and status events (e.g., booking start/end confirmations, Confirmation Code redemption time), and limited device/network/location signals used to verify attendance and evaluate no-shows, cancellations, fraud, and disputes. These signals may include approximate location (from IP) and, if you enable device permissions, precise location at the time of check-in or during a booking.
C. Information from third parties
- Payment processors: confirmation of payment, payouts, refunds, disputes/chargebacks, and fraud signals.
- Verification providers (if used): verification results and risk signals.
- Analytics and infrastructure providers: performance and reliability metrics.
3) How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide the Services: create accounts, show profiles/listings, enable booking, messaging, and customer support.
- Process payments and payouts: handle transactions, refunds, cancellations, and disputes.
- Safety and trust: verify identity (where applicable), prevent fraud, enforce policies, investigate reports, and reduce harmful activity.
- Improve and personalize: debug, analyze usage, develop features, and recommend relevant listings or bookings.
- Communications: send confirmations, receipts, service messages, and policy updates.
- Legal compliance: comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
- Session integrity and dispute resolution: verify whether a booking likely occurred, evaluate no-shows, enforce the Confirmation Code process, detect fraud, and resolve disputes using session verification signals (time/location/check-in data) and related metadata.
4) How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Services:
- Between Members and Friends: profile information, booking details, and messages necessary to complete a booking.
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, customer support tools, verification vendors, and payment processors (acting as processors/service providers for us).
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect users, Friendket, and the public (including investigating fraud and safety threats).
- Business transfers: if Friendket is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

California notice
